Today, June 8, 2022, at night, at the ceremony of announcing this year's results of the QS ranking of universities (QR World University Rankings 2023), which took place in New York, the University of Primorska received two certificates of recognition - "Welcome to the World" awarded to newly ranked universities and the "QS Recognition of Employability" awarded for being among the top 25 universities worldwide which produce graduates with the 'soft skills' required for the modern workplace employability.
QS World University Ranking is the most comprehensive scale of its kind, highlighting the world's best institutions in order to enable all motivated individuals to fulfill their potential through educational achievement, international mobility and career development. The selected conditions must be met in order to be ranked.
The University of Primorska was for the first time among the analyzed institutions and is the only one newly ranked from Slovenia. 2,462 institutions were inspected, of which 1,422 were ranked, 124 for the first time - 8 of them were winners, and one of them is the University of Primorska. The University of Primorska is between 1001-1200, among the TOP 71%.
In the Medium-Term Development Strategy, the University of Primorska has set itself the goal of being included in the Times Higher Education (THE) list, which it achieved in February this year by ranking in the list of the best universities under the age of 50. However, ranking on the QS scale of universities is the same or greater success, especially due to the extremely high ranking in one of the categories. Successes on the scales show that the development orientations of the University of Primorska are correct and properly recognized internationally.
