The first group of UP FTŠ students successfully completed their preparations for the STR CHIA Certificate in Hotel Analytics

At UP FTŠ Turistica, we have always believed that continuous education and training opens the door to many opportunities. We are proud to announce that in October our first postgraduate students will obtain the internationally recognised Certificate in Hotel Analytics - CHIA (Certified Hospitality Industry Analytics). This is an internationally recognised certificate that opens many doors and can be a great stepping stone to an international hotel career.

Under the framework of La Fondation pour la Formation Hoteliere, a foundation for the training of advanced personnel in the hotel industry, the first generation of our students studied hotel analytics in regular 2-week summer sessions in order to obtain the internationally renowned CHIA certificate, which could open the door to the management levels of international hotel companies. The preparations were carried out under the watchful eye of M.Sc. Miha Bratec, who has an international experience in the world of hotel management and is also the first certified STR CHIA trainer in Slovenia. Tomislav Čeh, former long-time director of Ljubljana's Union Hotels and currently the leading man for the Adriatic region at PKF Hospitality Group, an international hotel-consulting company from Vienna, who also acts as a judge for STR in their student competitions, was in charge of upgrading and broadening the understanding of hotel business from a practical point of view. The good cooperation between UP FTŠ - Turistica and PKF will be further enhanced this year with the possibility of student internships in PKF's offices in Zagreb, Milan and Vienna.

We would like to thank our mentors and La Fondation pour la Formation Hoteliere for funding the students' preparation and examination for the certificates. We wish the students the best of luck in obtaining their certificates and in successfully integrating their newly acquired knowledge into their young and promising careers.
