The success of Turistica's students at the STR competition

Under the supervision of the team leader Petra Klanšek, team members Sabina Rošer, Žan Pem, Zarja Bašelj and Kaja Hostnik, tirelessly analysed the operations of Vienna hotels and provided convincing answers to their future challenges, all under the watchful eye of their mentors dr. Method Šuligoj and M.Sc. Miha Bratec, delivered an outstanding performance. 

STR is the leading provider of hotel analytics in the world, and knowledge of their reports is becoming an international standard for managerial professions in the hotel industry. Through the STR competitions, students are trained in the analytical skills of analyzing the performance of the hotel business and comparing the performance of different destinations, on the basis of which they can also obtain an internationally recognized CHIA certificate, which opens the door to the marketing and financial departments of many international hotel chains. This also increases the faculty's reputation and visibility in the hotel industry.

Since Turistica educates internationally competitive future hotel HR, we were happy to participate in the competition, and this year we were also the first Slovenian team to reach the winner's stage of this competition. The team won an excellent third place.
